Supplies

• Wood letter of your choice
• Assorted, thin washi tape (we used two varieties)
• Scissors

You can find thin washi tape at your local craft, dollar, and retail store. It is easier to use on a project such as this one as you have more control when covering the space.

Directions to create DIY D's

1. Begin by wiping your letter with a dry cloth to remove any dust or debris. This will help the tape adhere better as well.
2. Starting at the end on your right, apply a strip of washi tape. Use your scissors to cut it to length. Gently fold any extra tape over the edge.
3. Continue by applying another color/variety of tape, slightly overlapping it with the first. Cut it to fit, and bend any extra tape over the edges.
4. Repeat this process until you have covered the entire letter.
5. Cover the outside edges of the letter by running more washi tape along it and cutting it to fit.
