You may have seen my previous posts about the $1000 grant for Earth from Kalso shoes (the makers of Earth Footwear). I am the lucky recipient of one of the grants. We completed an Earth Day Scout Service Project designed to improve the local elementary school that my children attend. Click below to check out the posts:
Our project is complete. In fact, we just finished up the last part of it yesterday although we began it a few weeks ago. Some things took longer than planned.
We were able to re-purpose a lot of things rather than having to buy completely new which is wonderful. Less stuff in the landfill, right?
The Scouts had an amazing time. The parents had fun and our school looks so much better.
This was a wonderful project and it felt really good giving back to the school that gives so much to us.
This would not have been possible without the amazing folks at Earth Footwear and the Kalso Project Earth project.
A special thanks to Kalso Earth Shoes for making this project possible with a $1000 grant. Please follow them on Twitter and check them out on Facebook.
