This year our family focus in on health. We are getting active together as a family. We are eating better. Drinking more water. We are doing what we can to make positive changes that will really last a lifetime.
Did you know that you can apply for a healthy living grant from Walmart for your community? Walmart is giving more than $9.5 million to national organizations that are helping families to have healthy, nutritional eating habits.
This funding will be used to further nutrition education programs, provide classes on shopping for and cooking healthier foods while living on a budget plus provide live cooking demos within the community.
Dr. Ro, working in conjunction with Walmart, will be sharing tips for people learning how to eat healthy on a budget.
One of the grant recipients is an organization that I have done a lot of volunteer work for. Share Our Strength is working hard to end childhood hunger in America. I have worked with them for years planning events and more. They are definitely a worthy organization as are the other recipients.
