We were recently sent the VTech CS6859 Cordless Telephone to review here at our house. As a gadget lover, I was really excited to try this phone out. We have a phone but it about 15 years old and is not cordless so we have to sit or stand by the phone to use it. I knew we needed something different but I didn't know what to get. Enter the VTech cordless phone. We hope that you love our VTech CS6859 Cordless Telephone Review.

About the VTech CS6859 Cordless Telephone

One of my favorite features has got to be the backlit cordless handset keypad and display.  When I am walking around the house at night, checking on things, I see that the entire keypad illuminates along with the LCD screen, making it easy to see in any light or no light at all. Caller ID/Call Waiting will tell you who is calling and can store up to 50 calls. You will also notice that the handset displays name, number and date.

I love the fact that I can use the speakerphone with my calls. I can hear the person I am calling and they can hear me as well.

One cool thing about the phone is the ECO Mode power-conserving technology. What this means is that the power-conserving technology manages consumption for optimal battery performance.  I also use the Quiet Mode each night when I go to sleep. All I have to do is silence the ringer on the handset and base unit immediately for whatever amount of time I need.

The VTech CS6859 Cordless Telephone is a digital answering system that has up to 14 minutes of recording time which will get your calls when you can't.

What we like about the VTech CS6859 Cordless Telephone

This is not like those first generation cordless phones from the 80's. I remember hearing my neighbors talk all of the time on our cordless phone. The VTech cordless phone is perfect for busy families at home and is a device that provides excellent sound quality, good security and perfect range yet also does not let wireless networks and other electronic devices don't interfere with conversations.
