Wordless Wednesday – Firsts
There are so many firsts these days. They are growing and changing. At the speed of light. Many days I want it all to stop. My heart wants them to stay little forever. My...
Victoria of Life Starring Ellie and Eve started this weekly series called The Mommy Confessions and I am participating. Anyone can join in.
I was a rowdy and wild good Catholic girl growing up. I learned cursive and loved phonics and even had nice handwriting (according to all of my teachers). Today printing is still my preference over cursive. But those nuns used to ride me about something in my penmanship that still haunts me to this day.
So here it is, my Friday confession: I cannot make a lower case ‘k' to save my life. I used to try to make lower case ‘K's. I tried hard and it has got to be some misfunction in my brain but no matter what I do, they all come out as capital ‘K's.
If you see me on the street, don't try to teach me because I cannot be taught. It is a block in my brain. Others have tried without success. I cannot draw a lower case ‘K.'
Now you have it. My mommy confession. What's yours?

Cursive…what’s cursive…is that where I get to b*tch people out and make it look nice? LMAO. I can’t even write in cursive…and my printing leaves a lot to be desired, I consider typing my main for of “writing”.
I have HORRIBLE handwriting… I just stick to typing 🙂
I have horrible penmanship. And I was a teacher! My dad used to tease me saying I should go into medicine and not teaching since doctor write like chicken scratch.
I have a bad habit of mixing printing with cursive. My printing is actually pretty good, my grandma used too carry a sample around in her purse to show off. How’s that for strange?
How funny!
I always hated that one too. Looks ugly no matter what I do, lol.
BTW I left you an award on my blog. Stop by when you can.
Have a great weekend!
My writing his crazy…is it cursive…is it printing? It is a bit of both. Good luck on your k’s. It is a good thing, when you type all you have to do is hit the shift key!
That is so funny. I can’t say “r” correctly. The harder I try, the sillier I sound!
I have the kind of the same problem, I print and write all the time ,it is never one or the other! I hope you had a great weekend, Im late getting to commenting this weekend ! Busy Busy
that’s nothing. i cant do cursive anymore at all.
I had pretty decent cursive skills way back when – way back when the F & the T looked different even (if you are old enough or had an old fashioned teacher you will know there was a switch) now however my writing isnt the best- I am a cursive/printer too and my name looks like something the Dr would write when I sign my name!
