Sunstar GUM Twitter Party
We all know the importance of taking care of our teeth by brushing and flossing daily. But did you know that healthy gums are just as important? ABOUT GUM HEALTH Did you know… -Gingivitis...
Did you know that November is Lung month? It is important to realize that indoor air quality affects our health and to know what we can do to make certain that we are breathing the best possible air in our homes.
Radon is a cancer-causing radioactive gas. You cannot see, smell or taste radon, but it may be a problem in your home. The Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. Radon induced lung cancer is the number one cause of cancer among non-smoking Canadians. Some scientific studies of radon exposure indicate that children may be more sensitive to radon.
Every home should be tested for radon every 2 years. Testing is cheap, and easy – and so is mitigation. Check out this article by Mike Holmes to learn about how healthy the air is in your home and what you can do about it. Then join us tomorrow night to learn more about this silent killer.
