As children we take joy from the simplest things. Whether it's taking our first steps, riding our first “big kid” bike or learning a new skill, we're always happy to share our success with our parents and friends. This can especially be said when it comes to art and our earliest lessons in crayon or finger paints. I can remember being very interested in art at any early age, due in part to my sibling's talents, and taught myself everything I could grasp. I learned how to create art with colored pencils, markers, graphite pencils, watercolors and more while excelling in my art classes in school. Unfortunately, I didn't so much as grow out of my love for art as much as I developed other interests that overshadowed that love.
Now that I have my own family, art is something that I've hoped would become a love for my own children. I haven't been disappointed on that front and have a houseful of avid artists. So, when I was given the chance to partner with Prismacolor, a brand that I've always loved, I just couldn't turn it down. While working with Prismacolor I was sent several of their art supply products to share with you here on my blog and am so glad I'm able to share my experience with my readers. Since adult coloring books are such a huge trend right now, I was thrilled to use these fabulous pencils and color with my 12 year old son.
The Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencil comes in sets of 24 vibrant colors and comes with a carrying case to help you keep them safe and protect against loss. Like any other part of your art supply kit, colored pencils play an important role, so, you don't want to chance being unable to find them while in the middle of your next project; this set of 24 is great for either beginners or experienced artists. Each color is long lasting, water proof and easy to blend while the thicker lead helps protect against breaking.
Prismacolor Premier Fine Line Markers are available in packs of 8. Each package includes beautifully colored, fine line markers that are acid-free as well as waterproof. You can gain peace of mind while knowing that they're also smudge proof so you never have to worry about an accidental movement of your hand ruining a project. The .05 tip helps control the marker and ensures precision.
No artists kit would be complete without something to test the supplies out on. The Every Little Thing: A Flat Vernacular Coloring Book makes the perfect companion for any art supply kit. It holds fun coloring pages filled with nostalgic items such boom boxes, stuffed animals, woodland animals and more. Your little artist will love coloring their way through this beautiful coloring book.
