When we last talked about the MapMyFitness Quaker Challenge, I shared that there were several things that I was going to do this month.
I promised myself that I would become more active and that I would eat breakfast every single day. I wanted to make these changes as part of my commitment to leading a healthier lifestyle.
So how have I done so far?
Well….the breakfast thing has been a little slow going. I didn't realized that it would be so tough. After years of not eating breakfast, changing this horrible habit has been a constant struggle.
I HATE eating in the morning. I mean H-A-T-E. Sometimes even looking at food grosses me out. So while it is slow going, I am trying. I have been eating breakfast. In fact way more this month than in the past year.
I have been getting more exercise in as well. Making myself move has not been as tough as I thought it would. I am really getting exercise in almost every day. I need to work on getting my heart rate up. That comes next.
I also invited you to join in on this challenge with me. Don't worry if you haven't because there is still time. What the heck are you waiting for?
February is National Heart Health month. Even if it’s only 5 more minutes a day, what extra step will you take to stay fit?
