As a scrub lover, I use a scrub about once per week and I love making my own as well as trying out new ones that I find in the store. I am absolutely loving the grapefruit scent right now and this diy whipped body scrub. I mean I really love it. This scrub not only makes your skin feel great but the grapefruit is invigorating and refreshing. We hope that you love this Whipped Grapefruit Sugar Scrub recipe.
Whipped Grapefruit Sugar Scrub
Recipe yields 1 1/2 cups of a fresh and invigorating grapefruit-scented sugar scrub
Ingredients for the diy whipped body scrub
SPECIAL NOTE: I have been moving towards more natural dyes for things like this. To make this recipe, we purchased: All Natural Cupcake Icing Coloring Set (PINK, YELLOW, and BLUE) from Color Kitchen. Totally Plant Based, Vegan, Non-GMO, Vibrant Color For Decorating Desserts.
Directions for the diy whipped sugar scrub
- To start your diy whipped sugar scrub, in a medium mixing bowl, add the sugar and coconut oil. Mix until well blended.
- Add the grapefruit juice and grapefruit essential oil. Stir well to combine.
- Add 2 tablespoons grapefruit zest and stir well.
- Optional – add one drop of orange or pink food coloring.
- Place in an airtight container (preferably glass) and refrigerate up to 3 months.
