ABOUT GOODWILL OF NORTH GEORGIA
Goodwill of North Georgia is celebrating their 90th birthday and 90 years of putting people to work in North Georgia! When you stop at Goodwill of North Georgia, all proceeds help to support the mission of putting people to work. This year Goodwill will help 20,000 people in North Georgia find jobs.
THE RE2URRECTION FASHION SHOW
Last week I had the opportunity to attend the local fashion event called RE2URRECTION put together by Goodwill of North Georgia and The2econdFloor. The event featured local fashion bloggers and designers who designed outfits to raise funds.
The RE2URRECTION fashion show featured a group of talented, up-and-coming fashion designers and artists who will breathe new life into a variety of clothing found hanging on racks at Goodwill’s stores. They were each given $50 to spend in their local Goodwill store and the challenge was to design a Rockstar Glam outfit.
To raise funds, all of the transformed pieces were first showcased on the runway and then they were auctioned off to benefit Goodwill of North Georgia’s mission to put people to work.
CHECK OUT THE FASHION SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
This fun event was attended by over 300 business leaders and community members. The crowd was excited and engaged. The outfits were impressive and extremely creative. I have a great time.
Since Goodwill stores are such a great place to find fashion at affordable prices, I could tell that these designers really had a lot to work with. I saw sequins, leather, lace, silk and so much more. It was great to see so many textures and colors combined.
