As an avid shopper, nothing does my heart good like some fun, old-fashioned shopping during the holidays. The music is pumping, people are happy and there are deals everywhere. This is what every shopper loves.
I spend a lot of time trying to plan what I am going to buy when I shop and I spend a lot of time picking out gifts for others. I spend the same amount of time when I pick out things for myself. To me, gift giving is an art and a talent that not everyone has. I love picking out just the right gift for every person in my life.
Did you know that 85% of holiday shoppers in Chase Freedom's recent survey ‘gift themselves’ while shopping for others? I know that I do.
In fact, 69% of those surveyed who gifted themselves while holiday shopping for others did not have buyer’s remorse and half (48 percent) of them even felt a sense of happiness.
Chase Freedom also shares that 77% of shoppers who have rewards credit cards say they are likely to treat themselves to something special with the rewards they earn buying holiday gifts for others.
Did you know that 60% of holiday shoppers who have a credit card that offers rewards or points are likely to spend their rewards on gifts for others?
The Chase Freedom survey also revealed these fun findings about what men and women buy for themselves during the holidays:
Trendy items (Male 28%; Female 42%) – a lot of my spending goes here
Small luxury items (Male 27%; Female 42%) – one of my favorite categories
Electronic or appliances (Male 42%; Female 18%) – my husband's favorite category
Holiday decorations (Male 20%; Female 37%) – I buy a few more every year
Game for a group (Male 24%; Female 13%) – I buy a few of these each year for the family
Fad items (Male 10%; Female 12%) – I don't purchase in this category very often
Chase Freedom made Christmas shopping so much more fun this holiday season by making it easier to pay and offering some amazing deals on some of my favorite places to shop. Not only can you save money but you can get cash back as well and these are at places where everyone shops.

Happy shopping!
I had a credit card through them back in teh day and was very happy with the perks!
Is there a saying you have to spend money to make money? That definitely applies here. I’m all about saving and earning money back. This is one I’ll have to check out.
That cashback bonus is awesome for holiday shopping. You could really save quite a bit by shopping on those sites with Chase Freedom.
I’m happy to know that I’m not the only one who uses their rewards points on themselves! 🙂 I love to shop for others and I love to treat myself with the points I get while shopping for others!
I buy a lot for myself during the holiday season and think it’s because there are so many great deals around Christmas. I love the idea of being rewarded with cash back!
Interesting how people spend on themselves. I am more likely to buy myself an electronic device than anything else.
Yes, I love my Chase Freedom card so many benefits. Its the only card I use.
It’s always a perk to get rewarded for something you are just normally doing and that is shopping for gifts. Not having to anything extra and yet getting money back for shopping is awesome.
This sounds like a great credit card. I will have to see if it is available in Canada.
Wow that is quite a bit more cash back than I get from my credit card! I will definitely need to look more into Chase Freedom for the holidays
I love it when you earn money for spending money. Definitely makes you want to use that card a little more than others.
It’s hard not to be tempted when you see such cool stuff out in the stores! I know I’m guilty of picking up a little something for myself! Glad I can get rewarded thanks to Chase.
Who doesn’t love cash back? I don’t have a Chase card, I will have to check them out!
