Disney World Fort Wilderness Disney truly is one of the most magical places on Earth. And being Disney lovers, we love sharing all of these hotels with you. Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is...
Gatorland strives to provide a unique, family experience in an entertainment park setting. The park offers the chance to view different types of alligators and crocodiles in a controlled environment. The park can make special accommodations to large groups like a school field trip or scout adventure. They are ready to provide space for birthday parties and other celebrations in the park. While the park does not offer rides like other nearby theme parks, there is always something to see and do.
When guests are ready to experience the park from all new heights, they can clip into the zip line and fly high above the park. This zip line experience offers more than 1,200 feet of lines to ride along. The zip line towers are high quality and built for safety, standing seven stories tall. Each tower has more than one launch pad at varying heights. Before guests even begin there thrilling bird’s eye view adventure, they will get amazing views from the zip line towers. From this height, riders will get a view of both Nile and Cuban crocodiles and the opportunity to see the entirety of the Alligator Breeding Marsh.
After signing a release form, riders must wear closed toe shoes, and it is recommended that they not wear skirts, dresses, or short shorts. Riders must be at least 37 inches tall and weigh less than 275 pounds. Cameras, cell phones and other recording equipment are not allowed on the ride and should be stored in the provided lockers.
The Gator Jumparoo Show allows guests the chance to watch the largest alligators jump four or five feet out of the water to get the waiting food. This show offers the chance to learn more about alligators and their powerful bodies.
The Gator Wrestlin’ Show is located in an 800 seat stadium that is shaded. The experienced handlers jump onto the backs of 6 to 8 foot alligators and show the watching crowds the way to survive an alligator attack. Later, the alligator is rolled over onto its back where it will go to sleep.
Up Close Encounters is a chance to meet some of the park’s residents up close and personal. There are a variety of animals from around the world and some of Florida’s native snakes.
Night Shine is an evening adventure where guests make their way along the winding, wooden path in the Alligator Breeding Marsh area. Guests have only a flashlight and a couple of hot dogs. This experience gives guest a real fright with splashing water in the dark and flashlights that meet many glowing eyes.
Pearl’s Smokehouse is a sit down dinner where family’s can enjoy a lunch or diner of hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and other favorites. Most guests try the fried gator nuggets (no alligator is not an ingredient)!
Popcorn, pretzels and nachos are always available as a quick snack at the park’s Snack Bar.
In the General Store, guests can grab a canned drink or a beer to quench their thirst. Candy bars, chips and ice cream bars are also available for sale.
Gator Jake’s Fudge Shop makes fudge the traditional way in copper pots and on marble tables. There are 10 delicious flavors to choose among.
For a caffeine jolt, guests can pick up a cup of traditional coffee or espresso at the park’s Coffee Shop.

Experience Kissimmee invited me on an all-expenses paid press trip to Kissimmee Florida for the #RockYourVacation FAM Tour. All opinions are my own. Photos courtesy of Gatorland in Orlando, Florida.
Gatorland is the best! We went there once on a trip a few years back, and it was amazing. The alligators are super cool.
Awesome photos! I have heard of this place, but honestly ..not my thing .. I prefer to stay as far away from “gators” as I can!
I have always wanted to visit Gatorland! Your photos make me want to go even more now. Seems like so much fun.
Gatorland looks like so much fun. I have always wanted to try a zip line. I will have to see if we can check it out when we are in the area this summer.
Gatorland sounds like quite the experience. My daughters would enjoy this, especially the zip line.
This is something my husband would enjoy. I would probably freak out doing the Night Shine.
Oh WOW that looks like a wonderful place to visit. I am making up a list of places I want to go in my lifetime and I think this might be one I will add to the list.
I didn’t know about their zip line! Wow! I’d be interested in trying out the Night Shine!
That would be neat to be able to see. I’ve never seen gators up close and personal like this. I think this would be fun for my kids too!
Riding a zip line over alligators sounds really scary, but I bet it’s an adrenaline rush. I’ve heard of Gatorland before, I definitely want to visit there someday.
This is super cool, but I know I would be mega scared to do it! I think my kids and husband would jump on the chance!
This looks both fun, and terrifying! I’m 100% positive I would be screaming on a zip line over alligators, lol.
This place looks super fun. I have to remember it next time we take a trip there!
Man I went here about 25+ years ago!! My kids would love it here!
You are so brave! I’d probably cry the whole time lol. My husband would love Gatorland!
I remember visiting Gatorland as a young child. It looks like it’s really expanded with some fun stuff since then.,
Last time I was in Florida, I went on a gator tour and it was so much fun. But Gatorland looks amazing! What a great article. I never knew this place existed.
Wow! That looks super fun! I can’t wait to go here with the kids!
You are so brave! I think I would chicken out. I get a little scared that I’ll have an asthma attack on a ZIP LINE? What?! But it still looks like fun.
Gatorland sounds interesting! I don’t know if I would have had the guts to do the zip line over the gators though….lol
