FoodSaver Vacuum System
When it was time to put the FoodSaver to use, I was happy to find how easy it was to set up. Preparing the system was as simple as plugging it in and setting it out on our countertop. For our test run, we used a steak from a bulk package of steaks we had purchased. Like most meals, we bought our meat in bulk and only needed a portion of the package. Normally, we would have wrapped the extra meat up in tin foil. Instead, we placed the extra steak in a vacuum bag, leaving 3 inches at the top of the bag. The top of the bag was then placed in the groove inside the vacuum system, and the lid was lowered. The lid was locked into place, and all I had to do was press the vac n’ seal button. A green light went on when the process was done. When I removed the bag, my steak was now sealed tightly and all air was removed. Our steak will now stay fresh a lot longer than wrapping it in tinfoil would have allowed. Over time, this is a habit that will save us a great deal of money!
The FoodSaver FM2000 was easy to use and is a great way to help our family grocery budget go further. It only takes seconds to seal meat, produce, and other meal items, and in the long run those minutes will add up to dollars in savings.
If you want to waste less food and enjoy some real grocery savings, the FoodSaver FM2000-000 Vacuum Sealing System is a fantastic option. You can find out more about options, pricing, and vacuum bag refills when you check out the FoodSaver website at www.foodsaver.com.
