Finding Happiness in Life

to have the freedom
to find true happiness in the
life you are living.
Life is an amazing gift that we all hold in our own hands. The ups and downs of life that happen
to us all are also part of what makes every one of our lives have its own story. No person's life journey and stories are the same. Think about all the people you have encountered in your life and think of something unique about them and what makes them special. We hope that this Finding Happiness in Life post inspires you.
It's fairly simple
to find something about someone that makes them stand out from others. Isn't that beautiful? When one can pause
to think about what truly brings them happiness, the items on that list may be fairly simple. If you've never made a list of items that make you
happy, there's never a better time than now. There's no right or wrong way
to choose what goes on your list, but make certain it's full of positive items that you feel bring happiness
to your life. Need a little inspiration
to help get your creative juices flowing? Here are a few suggested tips on ways

Finding Happiness in Life
- Open your eyes. Stop and look at everything going on around you. While our world may seem to be constantly moving at a rapid pace, you can slow it down and see the beauty right in front of you.
- Smile randomly. If you want to smile, smile!
- Be happy. Simple, right? If you allow yourself to try, it can be. Don't fight that urge to be happy and think happy thoughts…embrace it.
- Hang out with those you love. Surround yourself with love from people who you love being with.
- Eat that dessert first. Adulting needs its perks at the time, right? If you want that cake before your salad, go for it!
- Interact with others. Humans love company! Spend your time in the company of other people if that is what brings you joy.
- Discover your passion. Think about what makes your heart happy and what puts your mind at ease…then go after it.
- Never quit trying. Life can be full of failures for every one of us. Remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day to start over.
- Cheer yourself on. Be loud and proud of you and your accomplishments.
- Do something you love daily. Love to read? Exercise? Watch Seinfeld on repeat? You can make it happen every day.
- Allow yourself to stumble. It isn't possible to be on top of our game every day…give that wiggle room to yourself to make a few trips on your journey.
- Test the waters. We don't always know what makes us happy…so, why not try out different things that you think might make you happy and then build from there?
- Enjoy the fresh air. Getting out in nature can offer such a cleansing for the mind and the soul. Plus, awesome views as well.
- Say goodbye to the past. Holding on to the past isn't helping launch you forward for your future. To be able to move on, one must let go.
- Be the good. Be positive for someone else. Be their good, even if just for a short while.
- Allow your imagination to wander. Have fun with your thoughts on how you envision things. Imaginations aren't just for kids! It can allow you to open your mind to explore possibilities you never thought possible.
- Take time to learn who you are. You are your biggest investment in your life, so take time to understand who you are as a person.
- Snuggle with something cuddly. Who doesn't love snuggle time? Cuddling up with a furry animal can be awesome and relaxing and bring great peace.
- Create a schedule that compliments you. If you love to make lists, create one that highlights things that you excel at, and then work on getting those tasks done.
- Ask for constructive feedback. Have those who know you give you feedback on what you rock in your life, and what you could improve on.
- Unplug. Sometimes, we all need to step away from electronics. Unplugging from the drama that can unfold in the outside world can be a great way to suddenly boost your mood.
- Quit making excuses for things you want to do. You don't need to always answer other people about your choices and actions. If you have something you want to do, answer to yourself first and foremost.
- Compliment others. Kindness spreads so quickly once given. Spend the day complimenting those around you and watch it grow as others do the same.
- Write out your positive thoughts. Put 'em on paper and then read them later when you need that boost.
- Channel your inner child. Feel like going to the playground to swing for a while? If that brings you happiness, then swing away.
Life is too short to continue to focus on the less-than-stellar aspects that can occur in our daily lives. Try a few of the suggestions above to see if they can help you find some happiness in your life. You may be pleasantly surprised that before long, just making subtle little changes in your mentality can have a huge impact on your outlook on life.
