Cranberry White Chocolate Pecan Cookie Recipe
Cranberry White Chocolate Pecan Cookie Recipe
We are all cookie lovers in this family. I remember being a kid and not being able to sleep at night. My dad would take my sister and me into the kitchen where we would all share cookies and milk. These are some of my favorite childhood memories. There is just something about having something as delicious as a freshly baked cookie, cold refreshing milk, and the company of loved ones. Who doesn't want to experience a moment like that? We hope that you love this Cranberry White Chocolate Pecan Cookie Recipe, and we hope it helps you build some memories.
Traditions
To this day, many, many years later I proudly carry on those traditions with my own children. I relish every opportunity that I have to bake their favorite cookies. We eat them warm with ice cold milk, and we sit and talk. I love those little moments. I cherish them. Motherhood is one of the hardest things that I have ever done, but the little moments always makes it worthwhile.
Traditions are important to me because they become so interwoven into our lives, and the traditions we start today are really key parts of our children's childhood. I firmly believe that it is never too late to start a new tradition.
Several years ago I had an idea to start a Thanksgiving tradition. I wanted to rent a cabin every Thanksgiving with my sister, her kids, my dad and stepmother. I created a budget, found a place and made plans for everyone. We had a great time. This will be our fifth year, and everyone still looks forward to it. It's our tradition.
The Baking Contest
Three years ago, we added a cookie baking contest to our 4-5 night stay. I mean, it's already Thanksgiving, why not add some additional baking, right? Well the kids and I love it. So do the adults; they reap all of the cookie rewards. There are six kids ranging in ages from 9-16. We make two batches of cookie dough and divide it up among the kids. They get to pick what they are adding and bake away. This goes on for three nights where all cookies are tasted and rated based on many factors. The fresh cranberries really made a difference. This Cranberry White Chocolate Pecan Cookie Recipe was one of our entries.

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Cream the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and egg; mix well.
- Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda together, then slowly incorporate the flour mixture into the creamed sugar mixture. Stir in the dried cranberries, white chocolate chips and pecans.
- Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches in between cookies. Bake one sheet at a time in the preheated oven until the cookies are golden on top, about 13 – 15 minutes.
