The Bissell Symphony All in One Steam Mop can utilizes steam to keep hard surfaces clean. For many, especially those who strive to clean without the use of chemicals, this system gives its users the ability to use steam to clean and sanitize.
With this system, users have the option of choosing to steam, mop, or steam and mop at the same time. The functionality of using this system is simple enough. Simply choose which setting is the most desirable. Once the user has decided the type of cleaning his or her hard surfaces require, the Bissell is ready to be used.
Steam safely and effectively cleanses hardwood floors. Steam alone kills up to 99% of bacteria and germs with only 15 seconds of continuous contact. Surfaces are clean and germ free without any harsh chemicals or sticky residue that other hard surface cleaning systems can leave behind.
The Bissell Symphony is safe to use on hardwood floors, ceramic tile, stone, vinyl, and laminate. It is important to note that steam is not safe for surfaces that are unsealed. Before using this system, test a small area, preferably one that is not easily visible, to see if this system is suitable for a particular surface. See the flooring manufacturer’s instructions for specific details on how to safely cleanse hard surfaces.
This system takes only 30 seconds to heat up. A knocking sound will be heard as it is getting ready for use. Once the indicator light is on, mopping and/or steaming can begin. Upon first using the Bissell Symphony, there will be a slight delay as the water needs to flow through the heater. This delay typically only happens upon initial usage and when a new filter has been placed.
The technology that allows the dual functionality of the steam/mop feature is because of a specially-designed foot. This foot has a vacuum that suctions dirt before it comes into contact with the mop pad. A steam mop located in the back cuts through grime and grease. All of the steam is directed to the floor and the vacuum uses suction. Due to this process, less steam is visible, however, the effectiveness is not decreased.
The Bissell Symphony System comes complete with the cleaning unit, two microfiber cleaning cloths (one soft, one textured), and a water cup. Additionally, buyers receive a 60 day risk free guarantee as well as two additional microfiber cleansing cloths with Microban technology and Bissell’s Steam Shot hard surface cleanser.

I am a big admirer of Bissell products, mainly because they provide all the features of high-end vacuums at a much more economical price. In addition to this blog, I have only heard good things about the Symphony and may very well purchase it soon.
What an awesome vacuum. I have to be honest at first I thought it was like an outdoor thing as it reminds me of a leaf blower or weed eater. I love the idea of this! It looks so easy to use and lightweight. Thanks for taking the time to write this very fine post on rug vacuuming and sharing your knowledge.
