The Secret Society Mobile Game App
I am an avid gamer and so is the rest of my family. I love games that I can quickly access on my phone and pretty much play any time I want. The Secret...

As a busy mother of three children, I have to confess that I am not always great about checking out which apps my kids are asking me for. I tend to download first and look later. While I thankfully have never had anything inappropriate downloaded, I definitely prefer having educational apps for my kids but I am never sure which apps are best. Balefire Labs & Math Fun
I was recently given the opportunity to work with Balefire Labs. What I love about Balefire Labs is that they take the guesswork away for you. They tell me what apps are best and provide the info in a non-biased, objective way.
Balefire Labs, Inc. is committed to doing their part to improve children’s education by guiding parents and educators in navigating the confusing world of educational apps. They believe that high quality instructional apps can help children learn and develop usable skills that they will need as they grow into adults and contribute positively to society. They exist because they think that parents and educators should have access to a non-biased, objective source of product reviews so that they have the information they need to choose products that best build children’s skills.
Their new online service provides parents and teachers objective evaluations on PreK-12 educational apps based on scientifically validated criteria. This allows peace of mind that they are choosing products that are most beneficial their children. Balefire Labs, Inc. is the only service available that uses objective criteria and makes its evaluation process transparent to parents and teachers. Balefire Labs Splash Math
With more than 100,000 educational apps available, Balefire Labs, Inc. gives parents and teachers confidence in selecting those apps that are most beneficial to children.
Balefire Labs, Inc. enlists individuals who are also committed to advancing the education of children. The company trains them to review and evaluate educational apps using a scientifically validated process that includes fourteen separate criteria based on two key metrics: instructional design (ID) characteristics and usability. It is the only service available that uses objective criteria and makes its evaluation process transparent to parents and teachers.
I was able to download a few apps that were perfect for my children. Our favorite so far has been Splash Math 1. My daughter loves playing with the app.
She always practices first and then when she plays, she loves getting prizes. She has been playing with the app daily and trying to get better and better. She has already asked me for more apps like this one.
I will continue to check out the apps and find ones that I think my children will enjoy.

I learned that they compare and contrast apps for children side by side so they can recommend the best apps in the category for children.
