Everybody has their way of staying at Walt Disney World. For some of us, there is no other way to stay at a Deluxe resort right outside your favorite park. For others, it's the balanced value of staying at a moderate resort that provides top-quality theming, and table service restaurants, while remaining more or less affordable and reasonably close to the parks.
This is where Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels or Walt Disney Good Neighbor Hotels come in. We hope that this Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels post inspires you.
There are a lot of factors to look at when booking a Disney vacation and a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, so you might overlook the non-Disney Good Neighbor hotels plus Disney Good Neighbor Hotels Orlando are some of the best places to stay. These hotels are not owned by Disney, but they are endorsed by the company, They also provide some of the same perks and potentially more value.
The best place to stay in Disney World is a very subjective matter of opinion. It all depends on what you want. Disney Resorts offers intangibles that are difficult to quantify. This leaves it up to you the consumer to decide if the nightly rate is worth the outcome.
Disney also offers a variety of packages to further muddle the exact dollar value, so you have to be careful if you are pinching your pennies. On the other hand, staying at Disney World on a budget doesn't mean you have to pick the cheapest-looking place either. Some non-Disney resorts offer quite a value. They save you money in addition to elevating your experience.
Disney Resorts comes in three tiers. Value is the cheapest at around $200 per night. Next is moderate resorts like Caribbean Beach, or Port Orleans. These can be in the $300-$400 range. Deluxe resorts are above $400. Those resorts often include Disney Vacation Club villas, cabins, bungalows, or treehouses that can cost over $1000 per night.
In addition to the room, Disney hotels usually offer perks. Right now a lot of these are suspended, but they include extra magic hours, Disney's Magical Express, complimentary transportation, and Magic Bands, etc. Early Fastpass Plus selections are another perk, but like extra magic hours, Disney suspended the benefit.
In truth, resort perks are dwindling. Disney no longer picks your luggage up at the airport for you. This was a big feature of Disney's Magical Express that is suddenly gone. In January of 2021, Disney plans to charge for Magic Bands as well, even if you are a Disney resort guest.
Here is a current list of Disney Good Neighbor Hotels (as of 9/1/2022). You may have asked yourself are there Disney World Good Neighbor hotels extra magic hours or do Disney Good Neighbor hotels get extra magic hours?

Non-Disney Good Neighbor Hotels are a less expensive option that is truthfully higher quality than what Disney offers at a similar price point. Disney credits these hotels with a seal of approval and they partner with the hotels, allowing you to book your trip through Disney. The hotels also have dedicated ticket and information centers for Disney. In addition to starting at a lower price point than the value resorts, non-Disney Good Neighbor Hotels are usually of a higher quality tier. That might make up for the slightly less convenient locations or the lack of Disney theming.
Good Neighbor hotels offer similar perks but don't have Disney's Magical Express. Although complimentary transportation is not available at a non-Disney hotel, non-Disney guests can still use them while at the parks and resorts. Most Good Neighbor Hotels offer complimentary shuttle service to the parks anyway. We hope that this Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels post inspires you. Happy travels!
