Fabulous Father’s Day Finds
Father's Day is upon us and if you missed the chance to pick up some of these Fabulous Father's Day finds that I am posting about, don't worry. I also have giveaways of some...
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Welch’s® Fruit Snacks. All opinions are our own.
Easter is quickly approaching and if you are anything like, then Easter baskets are on your mind. I spend so much time trying to figure out what to put in my kids' Easter basket that I thought this year, I would go straight to the source, my tween daughter. She is an gift giving expert when it comes to really knowing what her friends and family want.
What we also want is as little candy as possible and I want them to get things that they will actually appreciate plus use. So for several years I have been very conscious of reducing the amount of candy and giving them more practical gifts. Below are just a few of our suggestions that are loved by tweens.
Not only is Welch's® sponsoring this post, Welch’s® Fruit Snacks are hands down our favorite snack any day of the week. These fruit snacks are a staple in our home year round and you would be hard pressed to not find them in our pantry. We love the Easter themed fruit snacks as well.
These adorable branded Easter-themed packages and pouches have cute, seasonal graphics plus they:
Of course, Welch’s® Easter Fruit Snacks are the perfect addition to our yearly Easter egg hunt. Everyone in the house loves Welch's® Fruit Snacks, even my husband, who pretty much ate all the loose ones in this picture!
Who doesn't love to get out of chores? Kid coupons are such a cool thing and so easy to make. Check out these fun printable kid coupons for things like: get out of 3 Chores for free, have a friend over, go for ice cream and more. Or print blank kid reward tickets to add your own incentives.
Instead of buying candy each year, we take $20 and break it down into one five and 15 ones. Every Easter egg gets $1 and there is one golden egg with $5. My kids would much rather have their own money than candy.
All three of my children love picking out what they plan to grow each year. We don't have a garden, this is all in large pots on our porch so if space is an issue, container gardening works well. You can easily stuff seed packets into plastic Easter eggs or you can grab these adorable seed paper bunny shapes for the eggs.
I grab several of the round lip balms (check your local drugstore) because they easily fit into eggs and I honestly don't know a single person who would turn down a lip balm. My kids love getting lip balm.
Loose leaf sheets of origami paper can easily be rolled and stuffed into eggs. I did this last year and my kids spent the entire afternoon making fun origami shapes. My husband and I even joined in. We had so much fun and learned how to create lots of different things. I still have one on my desk to remind me of the fun we had together.
These are all suggestions that my kids and their friends have loved. This entire list is tween approved. We hope that this has inspired to shop smarter for your tween for Easter this year. Happy Easter!

Yum yum! I’m always trying to find alternatives to candy that aren’t super unhealthy. These look like fun because they’re still festive and sweet! I bet my daughter would love to get them in her Easter basket!
Awww I didn’t know this Easter version, I have to stock it maybe even to decorate the Easter table!
I’ve always avoided candy for Easter egg hunt and looked for an alternative, and these sound really good! Thanks for the tip 😉
It’s so good to get children used to alternatives to sugary candies. These fruit snacks sound delicious and so much healthier.
What a great alternative to candy for an egg hunt! My kids love fruit snacks, so they’ll be excited when they open their eggs and see these!
Great ideas! I love the fruit snacks and lip balm. Will definitely do this for the older kids.
Thanks for sharing about this nice Easter basket ideas. I would love to have them for the colors and the usefulness.
What a fantastic selection of candy alternatives for Easter. It can be so tempting to give them all the candy but it is great to be able to offer some alternatives
I’m leaving these options! Candy is all fine and dandy but it gets to be too much!
Oh! Great suggestion, I’ll go check this out and see if it’s available in my place. My kids will love it!
Oh wow, This looks so much fun. Love this Welch Mix Fruit so much and I like the fact that it was gluten-free. Such a healthy alternative option.
These fruit snacks are always in our house. My kids really love them and I am a fan because they are not full of fillers!
I love those fruit snacks and keep them in my pantry. They are fun and yummy treat to have. Great idea for Easter baskets too!
Such great ideas for candy alternatives (I eat those fruit snacks all the time – yum!)! Growing up, my family would actually hide coins and dollar bills inside the plastic eggs – I definitely preferred that over finding candy! The chore and kid coupon idea is super clever too!
I like this growing trend of not giving kids just straight candy for their entire easter basket. These are some amazing other options to stuff a basket with!
I love the lip balm and alternative easter fruit candies. Thank you for sharing your great ideas.
