For years, I have kind of played with yoga, took some classes, tried it and then stopped. Picked it up again and then quit going to classes. I never really made a commitment to it but honestly I have always loved it and I feel amazing after a class. My goal in January was to perfect my yoga poses and to attend class on a regular basis. I also wanted to work on a really cool pose where I only use my arms to lift my body. This Celebrating Small Steps Towards Being My Best in 2017: Perfecting Yoga Poses post is brought to you by goodnessknows. This year I am absolutely thrilled to partner with goodnessknows. They are a brand we already buy and love so this was a really good fit. The goodnessknows brand is all about celebrating every attempt on the path to greatness because every try is a step to being your best and all I have to say to that is: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I am on journey to be my absolute best this year and I started the year with yoga. I took some small steps and started practicing my poses in the mirror at home to make certain that I had them right. Then I started to hold them when they were right. In my mirror, they all looked really good but in practice, I realized I needed a little more work. FAIL! But doesn't my hair look good? 😉 First try? I failed. I thought that I was holding the right pose and after looking at the pictures, I realized that I was, in fact, not in the proper pose at all. My arms weren't straight and my body was facing the front slightly. Check out the pose done a little better. My arms are straight and my torso is facing the side (as much as it can) like it should. I just had to try another pose: This one needs a little work too. My stomach should be in a straight line but this was close. Even when I fail, every single step I take is a step to being my best. Failure is such an essential part of learning and every failure is an opportunity to learn how to do it better next time. This is how I live my life and it's how I am raising my children. Remember that really cool pose where I only use my arms to lift my body? That didn't happen this month but it's still in the plans. I need to perfect my regular poses but my form is so much better that I can feel a difference after one good pose. This was a win for January. Stay tuned for more Celebrating Small Steps To Being My Best in 2017 during the next several months.
This January, goodnessknows introduced three new delicious flavors for us to try – blueberry, almond, dark chocolate; mixed berries, almond, dark chocolate; and strawberry, peanut, dark chocolate. And OMG the strawberry bars? They were gone in just a few days.
goodnessknows snack squares are gluten free, 150 calories per serving each serving is four snack squares. goodnessknows snack squares are nestled in a layer made with dark chocolate, and one individual, two-bite square contains approximately 40 calories each. In addition to being delicious, goodnessknows is gluten free. These delicious snack squares are available nationwide in six flavors:

You’re doing much better at those yoga poses than I could. It sounds like such a great way to exercise but I don’t seem to be talented at it. I guess I need a LOT more practice.
I know you’re probably looking for a specific flavor, but honestly… All of them. I want all of the flavors…
LOL. Your worst Yoga pose is still better than my best. My poses usually end in me falling over.
My yoga poses could definitely use some work. I see these delicious snack squares serving as amazing motivation!
Like you, I have tried Yoga and given up on it several times. I did like it, but once I got hurt, it became impossible for me to do the poses. I do like the granola snacks. That’s one thing that I have held onto even when yoga was done.
You look great on your yoga poses! 😀 I would love to try these Goodnessknows! They look delicious!
I promised myself that 2017 would be the year that I integrated yoga into my life and seeing you doing your poses has inspired me. Also those snacks look delish!
I love this brand of snack bars. I have not really delved into the world of yoga but this does look awesome.
I’m not adverse to trying Yoga. People seem to love it! My daughter in law swears by it.
I haven’t tried this brand, yet. I love yummy and healthy snacks like this. I will look for this next time.
I am definitely trying to be a better me in 2017. You are doing a great job! I need to try those Goodness bars!
I have been afraid of yoga because I am such a klutz. I figure I’d totally fall over and break something. These bars look great. This is something my husband loves to snack on.
I love when I find products that align with my goals. I will have to check these snacks out, they sound like they would be perfect.
I love your fitness outfit! I would be inspired to do yoga in that kind of scenery!
I know that I would be horrible at Yoga. I haven’t tried it yet but probably should. It would help with my flexibility.
Those bars look so tasty too. I am always on the lookout for healthy snack choices. These sound perfect too.
It’s good to have a goal. Trust me, you do those poses way better than I ever could, LOL! Those little squares look like really delicious snacks!
This year is about me too!! I love these snacks so good and healthy!
Congrats! You are doing a really good job on your poses. You are amazing.
I love that you are committed to wellness and starting the year with working on what you find needs to be done to bring you to your goals! The Goodnessknows bars look delectable! I have never tried or seen these, I will be on the lookout for them now, they look tempting!
I love Goodnessknows bars! This is my first time seeing the Strawberry and peanut flavor and I would love to try it.
It is awesome that you have a goal to prefect your yoga pose. Yoga that I have been thinking about starting this year. I have to admit that I have not yet try the Goodnessknows bars yet but am going to have to pick them up. Thanks for sharing your goal and your progress.
I want to get into yoga so much, but I’ve never taken the time to actually do more than a couple of beginner videos. Those mixed berry bars sound delicious!
Yoga is all about the practice not the perfection. Just remember to breathe and you’ll have it.
