Sonia Kaschuk Holiday Limited Edition Brush Set
I think that we all know that we definitely need our brushes and tools in order to apply our makeup properly! I mean, I have an insane amount of makeup brushes. I really think...

Skincare is something that has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I distinctly remember my grandmother wearing cold cream and me begging her to put some on my face. She did and I felt so important plus I loved the smell. My grandmother told that cream was something she used every single day because it made her skin look great. As a young child, that had an impact on me because I thought that my grandmother was the most beautiful woman in the world.
Beginning in my teen years and still to this day, skincare is something that I make time for every single day no matter what. I clean and moisturize every single morning when I get up. I repeat it all again each night before going to bed. I take pretty good care of my skin and I think that it shows.
This year, my daughter and I are getting serious about skincare together. As a teenager, I talk to her frequently about taking care of her skin and indeed hygiene overall. So far, my daughter is pretty good about taking care of her skin although she is not yet consistent about it.
This year, Annabella and I are sharing our skincare adventures together by making this a mother/daughter thing. We went shopping together to pick out some products that would work well for us. This year we are turning skincare time into quality time where we can talk and just spend a few minutes hanging out with each other.
Good skincare doesn't have to take hours and you don't need to spend a ton of money to get results. Good skincare is about finding the products that work for you and to take care of your body inside & out.
The biggest skincare suggestion I have is to drink water. A lot of water and drink it constantly. Everyone in my home is a water drinker and we even carry bottles around with us everywhere we go. Water hydrates you from within and our favorite products hydrate on the outside.
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Regenerating Cream might just be one of my most favorite products ever. I just tried it for the first time a few months ago and I have made it my mission to never run out. I keep a container in all three bathrooms of our home so I can use it liberally throughout the day.
This formula moisturizes deeply, delivers anti-aging results in just one week and it targets my dry skin which leaves me looking refreshed. The retinol targets those wrinkles around my eyes leaving them looking plumper.
Annabella is just now experiencing a little acne on her face so the Clean & Clear Triple Clear Exfoliating Scrub gave her a refreshing, deep clean that she said left her skin feeling “amazing” while removing dirt and oil. This formula gently exfoliates the skin with non-plastic, biodegradable microbeads yet is gentle enough for daily use. The soothing aloe & mint means this is perfect for any skin type.
The 2% salicylic acid acne medication provides a deeper clean, cleanses and fights breakouts, and:
My daughter and I are both loving the Aveeno Positively Radiant Overnight Hydrating Facial. The last thing we do each night before going to bed is to provide our skin 48 hours of hydration which restores the skin's natural radiance and stimulates healthy skin renewal. I use this formula 2-3 times per week in addition to my regular skincare products and I love how soft my skin feels each morning.
The Hyaluronic Acid acts like a sponge for dry skin and absorbs up to 1,000 times its weight in water making this non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, oil free formula suitable for all skin types.
Now I have saved my favorite for last. Had the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Liquid Makeup 40 Nude been on my list to try out, I would have missed out on something that makes my skin look absolutely amazing. This weightless water-gel is an oil-free formula that is pretty much magic in a bottle. Not only does it boost hydration for 24 hours for smoother skin over time this tint evens out my skin tone leaving my skin looking radiant.

I don’t do much to my skin, but I am getting older and need to start taking better care of it. I will try some of these products.
Neutrogena is pretty much the only thing I use for my skin. My daughter is still a little young for skin care, but I’m certainly in need of it!
My daughter uses that clean and clear scrub. She says it works really well for her skin.
These look like some great options. I have been working with my daughter on taking care of her face.
I love that you’re teaching your daughter how important a skin care regimen is, from a young age!
Neutrogena has been around for a while and I like their products.
I plan on sharing this article with my sister.
I love Neutrogena. It keeps my skin hydrated especially during this time of year. Love that they have products for teens too.
what a great routine! It is so important for teens to have a good foundation for skin care!
Great routine and bonding time. My daughter tries to give me makeovers all the time 🙂
I have used all of these brands and absolutely love them. I need to get better about my nightime routine. Washing off my make up and putting on wrinkle cream.
Oh I cant wait for my girls to be a little wee bit older to have some mother and daughter routines like this for us! Beauty nights will be fun!
When my daughter was in her teens, we used to do bonding moments where we try on different shades of eyeshadow. Of course, proper skin care was our daily mom-daughter routine activity. It is a great way to teach hygiene too. I did the same with my sons. They breezed through that hormone filled teen years and did not have to deal with acne. Clean and Clear products are great for daily use!
These are my three favorite skin care product brand and also my daughters. We love trying out new skin care products from these brands.
I love the idea of a skin care routine for mom and her girl. I know if I encouraged this, my teen would be more likely to take care of her skin.
My daughter is getting to those pesky tween years. I love seeing her grow and change, but there’s a lot of change all at once. Making a skincare routine part of our daily bonding would be good for both of us.
That’s one thing I missed out on by having boys. Maybe that’s a good thing since I’m pretty much a soap and water gal. 🙂
I love Clean and Clear products. I have been using them for such a long time. It is really important to have a good skin care routine.
This sounds like a great routine indeed. These products sound great and I will have to check them out for sure. I love the idea of you sharing the skincare routine with your daughter. It is something that you both can do together and shopping together is a plus. This is something I will have to share with my sisters for them and their daughter.
These are all great products. My Daughter loves the results she gets from using Clean and Clear. Neutrogena is one of my favorites.
Firstly, your skin looks amazing. I believe the same thing, skincare is so important. I have been moisturizing since my teens. I also think it shows. I try to instill this same way of thinking in my girls. They are only pre-teens but it’s never too early to start, right?
I use a lot of Neutrogena products their hydro boost moisturizer and lip crayons are two of my favorite but I will have to give the rapid wrinkle reducer a try. These crows toes aren’t going anywhere on their own. I also have used the Aveeno nighttime facial moisturizer and I love it.
Love the idea of doing it with my daughters. It’s sweet and it’s practical.
This post makes me miss my daughter. She is off at college. I got to see her at Christmas and hope to see her this summer. I will have to talk to her about acne wash, I noticed her face is breaking out.
Wow, these products look amazing! Now I need to go shopping!
I have tried all of these products! I love Neutrogena. Your daughter looks so pretty!
This is something we’ve been working on. My daughter hates to wash the makeup off her face when she’s exhausted or use a face cleanser. I’m sure I nag her about it way too much.
very nice of you two! what a great bonding! we have the same Aveeno product! i like it
Haven’t had facial in a while. That said, I would love to try the overnight hydrating facial. I can almost imagine how soft my skin would feel like in the morning.
I love that new sponge thing you are holding. It is the newest way to apply makeup, right? I got to try it out!
I love a quick skin care system for the weekdays. I don’t have time to spend hours on getting ready. Thanks for sharing. – Yolonda
