Welcome Fall!
I love Fall! It is such a fabulous time of year. The weather gets a little cooler although not much here in Georgia but at least those incredibly humid days are gone.
It gets darker a little earlier. I get to sleep with the windows open. The kids go back to school (WOOHOO!).
County and State Fairs.
Haunted Houses.
Thanksgiving.
Fall Festivals.
And pumpkin patches plus corn mazes everywhere open as everyone gets ready to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and indeed all of Fall.
One of my favorite things to do with my children each fall is to go to a pumpkin patch. This year we went to working farm and my kids could not have had a better time.
The place was 200 acres. They had a giant corn maze which had three levels of difficulty.
There were kids tractors to race.
A giant jumping pillow for the kids (and some adults).
A hay ride.
Pig races (yes, that's right).
A corn pit (loose corn that kids just jump and play in).
Corn cannon (we got to shoot corn cobs). This was really cool. My five year old daughter made the best shot of the day.
Cotton picking.
Wildflower patch.
Oh yeah and the pumpkin patch.
What a fun time!
My kids and their cousins were so exhausted that I think everyone fell asleep on the way home.
We cannot wait to go back!
“Shout knows play is so much more than fun and games. Studies show that unstructured play helps kids build fundamental skills like problem solving, coping, and conflict resolution. In other words: play is how kids become happy, healthy adults. Fall has arrived with crisp, cool air and new reasons to go out and play. So, let your kids take that rewarding jump into a pile of leaves. Take at trip to the park and watch their imaginations run free. The one thing you won’t do is worry about their clothes; play should get messy and Shout can help.”
Get out this Fall with your kids. Your family. Your spouse. Just get outside and enjoy all that Fall has to offer.
