Mix and Match Fashion Clearance at Target
Mix and Match Fashion Clearance at Target I have always been a Target lover and shopper for as long as I can remember. I love the clothes. I love the food. I just love...
I think something in my life that I have a love-hate relationship with is shopping. Sure, I'm a woman, I do love to shop for new clothes but it's such a hassle to have to try everything on and just get the actual shopping part done. I don't like it when I notice that my clothes are getting old and I need to start replacing them, that is why I've taken more interest in finding solutions to keep my clothes looking great and staying in good shape. Today I am going to share with you the ways that I have learned to keep my clothes in good shape and make them last longer so I have to do less shopping.
It is not necessary to wash all of your clothes all of the time, some things you can get away with wearing multiple times before you have to wash them again. Washing your clothes too often will wear them out much quicker, it will fade the color of your clothes, and wear down the materials.
A lot of materials are much more susceptible to wear and fading if you watch them in hot water, so if you can try to wash all of your clothes in cold water as much as possible. This will help them to last longer and look great.
Ripped jeans are all the rage right now so if you do get rips in your jeans, you can always leave them and make a fashion statement. If you do choose to not have the holes in your jeans, you can always use patches. There are tons of awesome prints and patterns out there that you can make a really cute design with patches. You don't have to throw away those jeans, just fix them and you will be able to wear them for much longer.
Something really simple that you can do is throw the smallest bit of white vinegar in with your laundry detergent in the wash cycle and this will help to make your clothes last longer. The vinegar will help to maintain the color and freshness of your clothing.
Storing clothes properly is a big thing when it comes to your clothes lasting their proper shelf life. You should hang things that are supposed to be hung, and fold things into drawers that are supposed to be folded. This simply helps things stay in proper shape.
You know the rule of washing proper colors together, and a lot of people ignore this rule…Well, you shouldn't ignore that rule. You need to keep colors separated to keep them from fading or wearing out. I love using Woolite for Darks to keep my darks looking great.
Clothes are expensive, so make sure you take care of the ones that you have so you do not have to replace them as often. Be sure to pay attention to washing instructions and properly care for your clothes.
Loving all your tips. I need to take better care of my clothes for sure.
Great list! I always have washed my clothes in cold water since it is supposed to help prevent shrinkage and is better overall for your clothes.
