We are avid readers in this family. It is my firm belief that reading opens up an entirely new world and makes you a much more rounded person. I love reading and so does my husband. We both started reading at young ages and I would pretty much love to always have a book in hand.
Literacy is extremely important to me and I try very hard to encourage my kids to read for an hour each day. However, I am very happy if they just get a half an hour in. What matters most is that they reading something they enjoy and that they are transported to a whole new world which in turn makes them much better students.
Did you know that learning to read can be easy and fun? We struggled with our youngest for years because she had a harder time learning to read than her siblings. We worked with her on a daily basis and really tried hard to make it fun for her. Then we discovered Reading Eggs.
Reading Eggs makes learning to read interesting and engaging for kids, with great online reading games and activities that really work! Reading Eggs has put a lot of effort into making children want to keep using the program without having to be pushed by the parent or teacher. Children love the games, songs, golden eggs, and other rewards, which, along with feeling proud of their reading, really motivate children to keep exploring and learning.
Why do children love Reading Eggs?
My daughter has been using Reading Eggs for years and is such a great reader now. She started using it in school during Kindergarten. I remember her coming home to tell me that she used a website in class that she really loved.
The world of Reading Eggs is a vast one. What I like about it is that it is so interactive and this makes it impossible for my child to get bored. There is always something for her to do. She enjoys repeating lessons, changing her character around, doing word puzzles, playing arcade games, reading short books and so much more. Check out all of the activities available for your child:
Now you can get a four week trial of Reading Eggs and let your child try it out. Visit the Reading Eggs website to sign up for a free four week trial but hurry because this trial offer is valid from December 26, 2014 – February 28, 2015.

This looks like a great reading program. I will share this with my friends that have little ones.
What a fun way to help teach children! I find they are more apt to read and learn to read when something fun is involved!
I have heard of this. Sounds great for learning.
What a great way to help with reading! I am going to forward this on to my niece and nephew. I think they would really like to try the 4 weeks for free!

This looks really great! I will be taking advantage of the trial to see if my kids will like it for sure!
This Reading Egg program sounds pretty good. We didn’t use electronics much for kiddo. I am a little old fashioned. Her school isn’t high tech either.
I haven’t heard of Reading Eggs. Sounds like a great program.
This looks like a fun way to encourage reading. We had a hard time getting my nephew started last year. This would have been helpful!
I love learning apps – anything that is fun and exciting for kids to play is going to help them WANT to learn and play more.
