Blondie's are pretty much my husband's most favorite dessert EVER. He has loved Blondie's as long as I have known him and I suspect for much longer than that. M&M Blondie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
- 3/4 pound semisweet chocolate chunks
- ¾ pound Dark Chocolate Peanut M&M’s
- 12 caramel squares, cut in half
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Grease and flour an 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.
- Using an electric mixer, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low speed, add the vanilla.
- Next add the eggs on at a time, mixing well. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
- Fold the nuts, M&M’s, caramel, and chocolate chunks in with a spatula.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately one hour.
- Let cool for about 20-30 and then cut. Enjoy!
