OREO Thins make cookie time even better
Thank you OREO for sponsoring this post. OREO Thins make cookie time even better For years, I have been a cookie lover. I grew up eating OREO cookies because my dad loves them. I...
I grew up eating Chex™ Mix. It was something that we just always made for sleepovers and around the holiday times.
These days, we use Chex™ Mix as a lunchbox treat and an after school snack. My kids are serious about their snacks and they are very particular about what they will or will not eat. I am always looking for new recipes that my kids will love and that I can easily make at home.
We made the Chex™ Honey Peanut School Fuel recipe. I wanted to see what my kids thought and we also needed something that was pretty portable. It needed to go from school to Scouts, tennis, after school activities and be something that my kids wouldn't mind eating fairly often.
What I love about this recipe is that it can be made in less than 15 minutes with only the microwave. There is no stovetop or oven preparation required. In fact, I made this right after dinner as I was preparing lunches for the next day.
The Honey Peanut School Fuel tastes great and contains the new Cheerios™ Protein cereal plus peanuts which are one of my kids favorite snacks.
Did you know that Chex™ Party Mix isn't just for holidays? The Chex™ website has a lot of great recipes that you can use all year long and in fact there are many great recipes that are perfect for back to school snacks. Each one only takes 15 minutes to make and they give your kids a perfect lunchbox treat that is homemade.
Chex™ cereals are “buy one, get one free” this week at Publix® and this makes it the perfect time to stock up plus it means that the recipes are also a great value. You can grab Chex™ for buy one get one free from 8/28 through 9/3 at Publix®. There is no coupon needed.
