LEGO Friends Inspire Play & Creativity
My kids love to play and they especially love to play with LEGO®'s. They love to make things and to build things. They love getting creative and most of all they love doing it all together.
Creative play is something that I make certain my kids get time to do every day. Too often we find ourselves over-scheduled and in RUSH RUSH RUSH mode but often I have to make everyone stop. I make the kids stop and just enjoy being a kid. I remember loving LEGO®'s as a child and I love that all of the kids in my family love to play with LEGO® as well.
ABOUT LEGO®
Every time a child sits down with a pile of bricks she unlocks her creativity and finds joy in building—all while gaining a sense of pride in her creation.
Children learn about themselves, others and the world through play; construction play allows children to be creative in a way that combines logic and reasoning with playfulness and imagination. This type of play helps children grasp the importance of persistence as they develop a sense of pride for their completed model or their own creation.
According to research from The LEGO® Foundation, children learn about themselves, others and the world through play. LEGO building is one of the few play patterns capable of channeling creativity towards solving specific questions or problems and into different unique expressions, giving form to our imagination, feelings and identities. Construction play makes it possible to harness curiosity and playfulness simultaneously in pursuit of learning and creativity.*

ABOUT LEGO® FRIENDS
LEGO® Friends is a collection of building sets that blend the iconic LEGO construction experience with stories, settings and themes designed to meet children’s desire for creativity and a highly-detailed, character-based world. Since its launch in 2012, LEGO® Friends has dramatically increased the number of girls building with LEGO bricks and enjoying the benefits of construction play.
With a shared vision of unleashing confidence through accomplishment, LEGO® Friends has teamed up with Girls on the Run® (GOTR), a physical activity-based positive youth development program to inspire girls everywhere to achieve their limitless potential. Girls are using LEGO Friends bricks and elements to tell stories, embrace their differences and find strength in their connectedness.
I loved that the second our LEGO® Friends box arrived, my daughter took it right out and set about building. In fact, her sister and brother joined in while they all played for about an hour. They built, took it down, built some more and created many different things with her set. I learned that my daughter really loves to build things.
She also had fun grabbing the other LEGO®'s out of the toy bin and using those as well. In fact, she could build even more once she added the extras. My daughter loves smoothies so she had so much fun creating her own juice bar. She even asked her siblings for money for their smoothies!
