The long-awaited day was finally here! After months of patiently collecting gift cards from birthdays and Christmas, we were finally able to afford a Vitamix. We researched different brands and pored over countless reviews before settling on the perfect one. Let's just say, I'm usually a “cheap blender” kind of girl. In the past, whatever budget-friendly option I grabbed ended up making chunky, disappointing frozen margaritas. But this time, I wasn't settling! We hope this post about our Vitamix 6300 Blender inspires you to upgrade your blending game too.
We had decided on the Vitamix 5200s in Black. That day we headed to the Costco that we had already phoned to make certain the Vitamix Roadshow was going on that day. We were ready. When we arrived, the lady during the roadshow was giving a demonstration of the Vitamix 6300 blender. We were mesmerized. All five of us. My kids were sampling smoothies and soups. So were we and everyone loved everything. We put it in the cart and brought it home.
This Vitamix 6300 blender is one of the higher-level entries in the blender line-up from Cleveland, Ohio-based manufacturer Vitamix Corporation. Marketed to home-based cooks and professional chefs alike, the Vitamix 6300 is designed to create a variety of dishes and drinks ready for serving straight out of its container. The blender comes with three pre-programmed settings, which correspond with the kind of food you wish to prepare. The settings are named Smoothies, Hot Soups, and Frozen Desserts. Any of these food items can be prepared inside the blender's container, which can hold up to 64 ounces.
The 6300 features laser-cut stainless steel blades — each of which measures 3 inches — spin at up to 240 mph, with power coming from a motor that peaks at 2 horsepower. A tamper is included for processing thick mixtures, which include peanut butter. A special collar enables the tamper to stay securely in the container and prevent it from hitting the blades.
The Vitamix 6300 has a variable 10-speed Control that enables you to choose certain levels of speed and power for the type of blending activity. With the Vitamix 6300, you can blend, chop, cream, churn, heat, and grind, among other actions. The blender has a self-cleaning system, which requires you to put some warm water and a drop of dish soap into the blender and run on High for 30 seconds.
The Vitamix 6300 is powered by a built-in 6-foot cord, which generates 120 volts. The container sits on a base that consists of a radial cooling fan and thermal protection system to make sure it does not malfunction due to overheating.
We use our Vitamix blender for everything. Besides making a breakfast smoothie (IT HAS A SMOOTHIE SETTING – YEAH) for all five members of our family, we make sauces, salad dressing, marinades, a milkshake or two, and a couple of soups. This blender has revolutionized our household. For real. BV (before Vitamix), getting my daughters to eat breakfast was an ongoing battle, and AV (after Vitamix) my kids not only drink their breakfast every day, they also get a 1/2 cup of spinach, 1/2 cup of kale, a ton of fresh fruit and yogurt or avocado for creaminess. We sometimes add some raw, organic honey if it is not sweet enough for them. But that is impressive for my kids.
I get twice the vegetables as they plus fruit and a few other things like flax seeds. In less than three weeks, I have lost about 4 pounds and I have a lot more energy. My skin is also much clearer. I just feel better in general. I am seriously considering bumping up to two smoothies per day. Overall, this has been the perfect purchase for my entire family. We now have a long list of recipes that we are creating with our blender. Up tomorrow, is an emulsified version of an Italian seasoned balsamic and olive oil mix. This makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
I can't say enough great things about the Vitamix 6300 blender and the Vitamix brand as a whole. They make solid products you will not regret buying. This is one of those Buy It For Life purchases that is worth the money. Buy it from Costco like we did and get that 5% back with a Costco Executive Membership. The Vitamix 6300 price was around $500. We hope that this Vitamix 6300 Blender post inspires you. Happy blending!
I’ve been thinking about needing more fruits and vegetables in my diets and smoothies or juices is the way to go. Just starting to look into it, but it seems like you need a good blender and a good juicer.
This is the best thing we have ever done for our family. Every one of us is healthier with more energy. We don’t juice but we do throw tons of fruit in the blender.
I have been DYING to start juicing and making green smoothies. I have been eyeing a vitamix for such a long time. i wish they were not so expensive though. im a broke college student lol! but thanks for the review, it def. seems worth it though! 🙂
I also have the vitamix 6300 and I love making smoothies with it.
