Quaker Heart Health Challenge
I want to live a healthier life. I need to live a healthier life. I really want to do this for my children and for my own sanity as well.
My life is very busy. I work more than full time running my own business. I am raising three children. I volunteer regularly. There is so much going on that a healthy lifestyle seems like a low priority.
But it really shouldn't be. I promised myself that I would do better. That I would make changes. Slow and small but still changes. Lately I have been trying hard to read labels, to get regular exercise in and the really think about what I am eating before I eat it.
Breakfast is one of the biggest thorns in my side. I don't eat it. I hate eating in the morning. In fact, I hate eating within three or four hours of first getting up. However, I am not making a conscious effort to have breakfast every single day. No matter what.
I am drinking water as well. I have been getting lazy about the amount of water I drink so now I carry it with me everywhere I go. I am doing well with water.
I am making myself exercise and just get moving. I have started wearing a pedometer every day everywhere I go. It makes me aware of how much I really move during the day.
These small changes are already having a big impact. I have more energy. I feel happier.
To facilitate making these changes, I have joined the Quaker Heart Health Challenge and now you can too!
