Fun with Fijit Friends

Not that long ago we had a Fijits party. Now unless you have kids in the 6-9 age range, you might not know about Fijits.

With Mattel's new Fijit Friends ™ your child will find a friend in an interactive, electronic toy that can talk, dance, and laugh along with them. This new generation children's toy not only entertains but can actually engage and interact with our kids on a whole new level. Fijit Friends have colorful and soft skin that enable lifelike movements and  they can perform fun dance moves, recognize spoken emotions and react appropriately, joining in on the fun or telling a joke when you are sad.Fijit Friends come in four different color variations, each with a unique personality.

We had a playdate where we gathered some of my daughter's closest friends. We were sent two Fijit Friends along with some music and a video camera to record all of the fun. Wait until you see the video. I am not sure I have ever seen so much energy from six kids as I did in those five minutes I recorded.

Everyone got to play with the two new Fijit Friends. In fact, at first they were pushing each other out of the way because everyone wanted to play. We made everyone stand back and take turns but all of the kids were truly impatient for their turns. It was pandemonium for a few minutes.

I had separate activities planned for the boys but the truth was, they wanted to play and dance with the Fijit Friends just as much as the girls did. Colors aside, these toys are actually just as perfect for boys as they are for girls. And when you get a group together? There is definitely fun to be had.

All of the children absolutely loved the Fijit Friends. They danced and danced and danced until they fell down from exhaustion. They rested for a few minutes and got up and did it all over again. It was really fun to watch and even funnier to try to record. There were kids all over the place.

All six kids loved trying to interact with each Fijit and had fun trying to get them to dance based on commands. My husband even got into a little bit although he did not have as much luck as the kids did.

But hands down everyone absolutely loved performing. They had such a great time acting crazy, dancing as fast and as silly as they could.
