OREGON

For those on the Pacific Coast, Oregon offers an excellent weekend getaway. Experience refreshing fall breezes from the ocean, stunning autumn sunsets, and a kaleidoscope of foliage colors. Explore numerous parks, gardens, and partake in the state's vibrant wine harvest during this season.

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND

If you are looking for a great fall destination that combines great colors and some US history, Baltimore is just what you need.  The Chesapeake Bay is a place where you can find hoards of trees with bright yellow and red leaves that are set against a backdrop of deep blue ocean water.  You can also catch a glimpse of great wildlife.

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

If you head to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, about 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, you will enjoy amazing colors as you stroll the acres of public gardens.  There are natural habitats, shrubs and trees.  You can also head to the many lakes in the area if you want to see the reflections of the trees on the water.

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

  1. Our fall landscapes here in Las Vegas are disappointing to say the least, but I have a work trip scheduled to Minneapolis next month, and your post just got me all kinds of extra excited. Bring on that gorgeous foliage!

    I have always wanted to visit Oregon. I think it is the best place to visit if you want to be one with nature. I hope me and my husband could squeeze in a little vacation in the fall so we can head on over to Oregon.

    I have never been to Oregon, but I would love to see it in person someday. Maryland is one of my favorite places to visit. We will probably go there next year. 

  6. I love the pretty colors of fall. With kids, it is super hard to travel during the school year. Each one of these locations would be amazing to see. My aunt used to live in UT.

  8. I have always wanted to visit Oregon, especially Portland. I probably won’t be visiting there anytime soon due to my busy schedule, but I definitely want to visit there within the next few years. It would also be lovely to visit during fall!
