Chevrolet Takes 4G LTE with Wi-Fi Mobile
We are definitely a mobile family. We are always on the go and we need our devices to be the same way. Portable yet always connected. This is just how my family operates. In...
These two words can be scary words to a father of three children all under the age of seven. The idea of being cooped up in a car for hours upon hours, while driving hundreds of miles with three kids, who gain great pleasure out of annoying one another (and their parents) is not my idea of a good time. Not at all. Nevertheless, my wife and I piled the kids into the car and took off for Florida, the destination of Disney. My wife was attending the Disney Social Media Moms Conference and the family was along for the ride. Our ride was the SRX 2011 crossover Cadillac. Literally. And the trip was…well….surprisingly pleasant. We hope that this 2011 Cadillac SRX Review post inspires you.
The feared road trip was fun for all and really what it came down to was the car; the Cadillac SRX. This crossover vehicle had something for everyone making all the difference between a fun road trip and a nightmare drive. The kids were in love with the entertainment system. They could watch separate movies on the built-in screens. For me, the best part of this system was that the soundtrack for each movie was piped to the kids through wireless headphones. While the kids were watching the movies I was free to listen to music (or the AWESOME million and one channels available on the included XM Satellite radio)…all at the same time…from the same entertainment system. Cool.
My wife was in love with the navigation system. Not only do you get a large screen in the cockpit of the SRX, but the navigation system is integrated with the OnStar system. At one point during our trip, my wife decided that we needed ice cream. She hit the OnStar button and asked the operator about ice cream shops in our area. We picked a shop and then the OnStar operator added the ice cream shop as a waypoint to our navigation screen. Again, Cool. The 2011 Cadillac SRX was a midsize luxury crossover SUV that aimed to combine performance, comfort, and premium features in a stylish package.
While the 2011 Cadillac SRX received positive reviews for its features, performance, and design, it did not win any major automotive awards. It did, however, achieve recognition from J.D. Power, a consumer research company, by being named the “Best Midsize Premium SUV of 2011” based on owner feedback and satisfaction.
For me, the best part of the Cadillac SRX was just driving the machine. The driver's seat was comfortable and gave support in all of the right places. There was no road noise, and I mean none; the sound insulation on the SRX is unbelievable. When you are traveling at highway speeds and you hit the gas to pass a truck the SRX just goes; the amount of power available from the engine is impressive.
The 2011 Cadillac SRX offers a compelling option for drivers seeking a luxurious and feature-rich crossover SUV. It provides a comfortable and stylish ride with a powerful V6 engine and available AWD for all-weather capability. We had a great road trip and I owe Cadillac and the SRX a big thank you for making that possible. If you have the opportunity to drive one car or are in the market for an SUV, give the Cadillac SRX a shot. You won't want anything else.
A vehicle was provided for review.
This is definitely a car that DAD will love as well. My neighbor has one, and he loves it as much as his wife.

Cadllac has really stepped up recently into seriously getting into the crossover vehicles. I like the looks, and should be able to get one used in about 20 years. They are pricey!
